Our shelter has derived from taking our enterpretations of a fale and combining them with the decision to use a tree as a sturctural base.
We were fasinated by the flow between the interior and exterior in the traditional fales and their ability to combine private and public space, and thats achived with its ability to transform with the use of light. When it is unlit from the inside it gives considerable privacy and security but at night, eliminated it projects the inside activity onto the exterior environment which attracts peoples attention.
